Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Level 3)
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Contract Type: Full-Time, long term temporary contract, but may be made permanent
Working Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday to start September 2024
Salary: £85-£95 per day
Are you a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children with special educational needs? If so, Randstad Education has an exciting position available in a primary school in Rotherham.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and assist mainsteam and SEN pupils in their academic and personal development.
- Work closely with teaching staff to implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Provide one-on-one support as well as small group assistance as required.
- Assist with the management of behaviour and implement behaviour support plans.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with SEN children in either a mainstream educational setting or specialist provision.
- Relevant Level 3 TA qualification.
- A genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional development of SEN students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt and respond to the diverse needs of students.
- Relevant qualifications and/or training in supporting children with special educational needs.
