About the Role

Our client, a prestigious college, is seeking a Library and Information Service Administrator to support their library and information services. This role is ideal for someone passionate about information management, library services, and user engagement within the education sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline customer service to members, staff, and researchers accessing the library.
  • Manage library resources, including cataloguing, indexing, and archiving materials.
  • Assist in the acquisition and organisation of digital and print collections.
  • Maintain and update the Library Management System (LMS) and assist with data input.
  • Support library events, research projects, and training sessions for users.
  • Handle inter-library loans, document supply requests, and digital access queries.
  • Ensure compliance with copyright and data protection regulations.
  • Assist in producing guides, reports, and newsletters for library users.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in library or information services .
  • Strong IT skills, including experience with Library Management Systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to organise, prioritise, and work independently within a team.
  • Attention to detail with experience in data entry, cataloguing, or records management.
  • A qualification in Library and Information Science (desirable but not essential).
