Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Linux System Engineer with AWS experience/knowledge to design, build, implement, and maintain computer infrastructures based on the Linux operating system. You need to gather information about an organization's day-to-day operational functions, and then configure systems designed to provide solutions for those needs.

You will be joining enthusiastic and friendly colleagues in our modern office in central Farnham, Surrey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Design, build, implement, and maintain computer infrastructures based on the Linux operating system.
• Support web infrastructure to aid the development team in projects delivery.
• Support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, specialised security solutions for cloud services in AWS.
• Develop and maintain scripts using Bash and Powershell to automate system tasks and processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Linux servers and associated technologies.
• Collaborate with IT manager to design and implement system solutions.
• Participate in the planning and execution of system upgrades, patches, and migrations.
• Ensure system security and compliance with industry standards.

Key Requirements:

• A positive can-do attitude
• Strong experience with Linux operating systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage Linux servers with AWS experience in a production environment.
• Experience with system administration tasks such as performance tuning, monitoring, and backup/recovery.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
