We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a 23-year-old master’s student, who is looking for a like-minded person to join their care team. Join their team of PAs who provide their personal care and independent living support. This is a great opportunity to help make a positive impact on a young adult’s life.

Start: ASAP

Rota: 7 days on / 7 days off

Location: Walton on Thames, Elmbridge, Surrey

Pay: £180 per day = £1,260 per week

Free accommodation whilst on shift.

Holidays: 5.6 weeks holiday pro rata

A Full UK Driving licence is required for this position as you will be required to drive the client’s adapted vehicle.

About the Job

Care experience is not required as full training in our client's particular requirements will be provided.

There will be double-up support from an additional PA during peak periods of the day, to ensure the highest level of care can be delivered.

About our Client

Our client is studying for a master’s in filmmaking and is looking for a PA to join him on the final chapter of his education journey. He has a diagnosis of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and as a result, is a full-time wheelchair user.

His interests include: keeping up with the football both on TV and in going to live football matches. He is a season ticket holder for Crystal Palace. He also enjoys going for walks in nature, listening to varied music, and bingeing on the latest Netflix series. In addition, the client enjoys going out for meals, socialising, travelling and other out-and-about activities.

Our client has a great personality and is easy to get along with. He has a keen, insightful mind and enjoys having a good conversation but equally in having a laugh!

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A full and clean UK driving license (Essential)

  • Previous Care Experience (Desirable)

  • Confident driver as you will be expected to drive the client’s van

  • Excellent sense of humour and ability to not take life too seriously

  • Physical fitness, patience, and a caring nature

  • Strong communication and listening skills

  • Mature and responsible attitude

  • Fluent in English

  • Clean and tidy appearance

Trainingand Development: Full training in the client's particular needs will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for individuals without previous care experience. You will also have on-call support from our client coordinator team.
