Experienced Loading Shovel Driver - IMMEDIATE START

Monday to Friday - ongoing role

06.00 - 3PM or 07.00 - 4pm

£18.00 - £19.00 per hour


We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Loading Shovel & 360 Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Loading Shovel Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating Loading Shovels to perform various tasks in a busy, fast paced recycling yard.

Duties

  • Operate Loading Shovel
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for operating heavy machinery
  • Valid commercial driving license with experience
  • Proficiency in operating loading shovels and excavators
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment
  • Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in construction and excavation environments
  • Previous experience in a similar role or related field is preferred

You will be responsible for assisting the yard supervisor with the general running of the yard which will include:
Enforcing Health and safety.
Loading/unloading vehicles.
Organising traffic.
Keeping the production line running.
Covering breaks

CPCS license required

Previous experience in a similar environment would be preferred
