Salt is recruiting for a Local Government client that needs a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst (Strategy & Insights) on a contract basis. This is a full-time position (36 hours), mix of office and hybrid working. You must be able to commute to Central London. This position pays £350 inside IR35.

Summary

To complete the BI project work developing risk and performance dashboards and automating data collection, ensuring technical support during the quarterly rollout. This requires specialised technical expertise. It will also facilitate delivering training on the tools organisation-wide, supporting development of training materials to embed the processes, and exploring linkage with CPMO project data

- PowerBI, Power Apps, Excel, SharePoint - Microsoft 360 and software

- Dashboard development

- Understanding of performance and data visualisation and reporting

- Data collection and analysis using PowerBI

- Project Management Skills

Essential Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, etc.).

Strong knowledge of SQL for querying databases.

Experience with data analysis tools like Python, R, or similar.

Analytical Skills:

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Ability to interpret complex data and present it in an understandable format.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Previous experience working in Local Government is highly desirable but the client will also consider candidates who have worked across the wider public sector.
