Venn Group is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a Locum Democratic Services Officer to join a reputable Public Sector organisation in the Midlands.

Key Details:

• Work Schedule: Full-time with 2 office days per week
• Rate: £30 per hour (umbrella)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support elected members and officers to ensure effective and efficient decision-making
• Provide expert advice on local government legislation and democratic processes
• Deliver high-quality committee administration, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and report writing
• Support and/or lead scrutiny bodies, assisting elected members in identifying areas for improvement and driving policy change
• Engage with officers and elected members at all levels, ensuring governance and transparency

This role offers a competitive hourly rate of £30 per hour (umbrella) and the flexibility of hybrid working, promoting a great work-life balance.
