Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) who is keen to undertake a new challenge to support the learning of pupils with additional needs within the EYFS?

Academics are looking to recruit a full-time LSA to work on a long-term basis at a school in Hackney to assist with the learning of a pupil who is due to join them in reception. The school has advised that the role will start ASAP and therefore all applications must be submitted at your earliest convenience.

The school would like to appoint an LSA who has recent experience working within Hackney so they have knowledge of referral processes and CAHMS. The students joining the school will be in Reception so EYFS and personal care experience would be preferable but not essential.

Described as "a thriving and vibrant primary school" the school is located a short walk from public transport stations in Hackney, making it ideally situated for commuting. The appointed LSA will be working at a school that is rated "Good" in their last inspection (2019) on an initial contract basis (£80-£90 per day PAYE) with a view to permanent offerings subject to funding.

Applicants for this LSA role must have:

  • Experience working with pupils with SEND
  • Child workforce DBS (Ideally on update service)
  • 2 recent school-based references
  • Right to work in the UK

If you are keen to support the learning of pupils in Hackney, please click apply right away! If you are based locally and want to discuss more teaching assistant roles in Hackney, please also give us a call.
