Luxury travel manager

Travel is growing … and so is our need for a manager for our branch in Gerrards Cross.

If you enjoy travelling and sharing your knowledge with others then this role may be for you.


The Position

We are seeking to appoint a full time manager for our branch in Gerrards Cross.

You will be expected to lead our small team as well as personally contribute to achievement of sales targets. You do not necessarily need travel industry experience, though if you have it can help. You will be expected to use your own travel knowledge and experience to design tailor-made luxury holidays for clients. You should be equally comfortable assisting clients face to face, on the telephone and by email. Following training you will be responsible for the complete holiday booking process from initial sales enquiry until the client travels. You will be expected to provide personalised customer service of the highest level at all times.

As manager you will be responsible for the day to day operation of the branch, maintaining its standards and following agreed processes and procedures. You will implement agreed local promotional activities to develop your branch and achieve targets.

You will be able to prove/ demonstrate:

  • Ability to manage a small team
  • Strong sales aptitude and ability to meet targets

  • A passion for travel and travel knowledge of destinations visited.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Meticulous administrative skills and attention to detail

  • A commitment to your own professional development

  • An adaptable and flexible approach to your work ethic

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point, email and Internet

  • Experience of working with minimal supervision

  • A full current UK driving licence

Opening hours are 9.00 to 17.30 Mondays to Fridays and 9.00 to 13.00 on Saturdays. Full and part time staff are expected to work full days including alternate Saturdays.

Personal Development

You will be expected to travel overseas to develop your destination knowledge for up to four weeks every year as well as study towards appropriate training qualifications.
