Machine Operative

Due to exceptional growth T&K Associates are currently recruiting on behalf of our client in Swadlincote for an experienced Machine Operator to join their expanding team on a Temporary to Permanent basis.

The role will include supporting the Team Leader with the distribution of work and handling queries, as well as covering for them during holidays & meetings. Therefore, someone with previous supervisory or deputy experience is required.

Machine Operator Job Details & Benefits;

• £12.50 per hour to start rising to £14.61 per hour when permanent
• 24 days holiday per year + bank holidays
• 37.5 hours per week & paid overtime after 37.5 hours
• Afternoon shift - Monday to Thursday 2-10:30pm, Friday 2pm-8pm

Machine Operator Job Details;

• Daily maintenance of machinery and pre-use checks
• Use of production software
• Fibre Laser operation
• FLT operation - training will be provided
• Checking parts against drawings and segregating cut parts into correct packs
• Read and follow drawings
• Weekly machine clean downs
• Deputy team leader duties

Machine Operator Person Specification;

• CNC experience is preferred but not essential
• Strong attention to detail
• Previous Supervisory or deputy experience is required
• Ability to use basic computer functions
• Ability to read technical drawings is preferable but not essential as training can be provided
