Central Employment are currently seeking dedicated and reliable Machine Operatives to join a plastic moulding manufacturer based on the Merrington Lane Industrial Estate in Spennymoor. As a Machine Operative, you will play a crucial role in the production process, working at the end of busy production lines to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor machinery on the production line
  • Ensure products are manufactured to specification and quality standards. This position will involve a large amount of quality inspection so a good eye for detail is essential
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and report any issues to supervisors
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the engineering or manufacturing industry is desirable
  • Ability to read and listen to instructions
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Physically fit to handle the demands of the job
  • Willingness to perform repetitive tasks
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts

Hours and Pay:

  • Pay rate of £12 per hour

Shift Pattern: Rotating Shifts

  • Morning Shift: Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm
  • Afternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday, 2pm to 11pm; Friday, 2pm to 6pm
