Bedford

Salary: £11.15 - £13.20 per hour

Hours: Days -  06:00 - 18:00 |4 on 4 off  or Nights – 18:00 – 06:00 | 4 on 4 off

Temp to Perm - on going

We are a currently seeking a number of Machine Operatives for a prominent client in the FMCG sector, based in Bedford. If you are enthusiastic, focused, and ambitious with a desire to grow within a thriving business, this opportunity could be perfect for you.

Machine Operatives Key Responsibilities

  • Operate bespoke machines.
  • Perform quality control to ensure products meet company specifications.
  • Clean equipment and maintain the production work area.
  • Conduct small preventative and reactive maintenance on automated production lines.
  • Provide holiday and absence cover as needed.
  • Uphold high standards of health and safety practices.
  • Seek to improve productivity and share best practices with other shifts.
  • Develop personal skills and abilities in line with the company’s progression route.
  • Handle any other reasonable requests from management.


Machine Operatives Key Skills and Experience

  • Advantageous to have electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic experience however not essential – as long as you are technical minded and good with computers we want to speak to you!
  • Ability to understand production planning to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and face-to-face communication skills.
  • Strong time management and ability to work under pressure.
  • Keen eye for detail and the ability to analyse and challenge data.
