Machine Operator

The Role

My client is looking for an experienced machine operator to join their business and develop throughout the role. You will be tasked with operating their ‘wrapping’ machinery, an integral part of the geosynthetic manufacturing process.

Main Responsibilities

·      Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) according to production specifications.

·      Operate various types of production machinery (e.g., Wrapping, extrusion, packaging, etc.)

·      Monitor machine operations and inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.

·      Troubleshoot issues, perform basic maintenance, and escalate mechanical problems when necessary.

·      Maintain accurate production and maintenance records.

·      Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations.

·      Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.

·      Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance.

·      Keep work area clean and organised.


Machine Operator

The Candidate

·      Must have previous experience as a machine operator.

·      Willing to train within the business and learn new machinery & skills.

·      Must have good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Benefits

·      Starting rate of £12.50 p/h, rising to £13.56 p/h after completion of probation and learning all of their bespoke machinery.

·      Overtime rates at 1.75x basic rate.
