My client, an industry leading aerospace engineering firm are currently seeking a Machine Shop Operative to join their manufacturing team on a NIght Shift. As a Machine Shop Operative, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various CNC machines, turning, milling and drilling, used in the production of components and products.

Main Duties

  • Operate and maintain CNC machines used in the production of components and products
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Use precision measuring instruments to ensure components meet required tolerances
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times

Candidate Requirements

  • At least 18 months of manufacturing/engineering CNC experience
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges

Shift patterns

Night Shift. Mon-Thurs 6pm-6am (46 hours)

Training will be provided on a day shift (48 hours) Mon-Thurs 6am-4.30pm and Fri 6am-2.30pm, usuallly for 2-4 weeks.
