We are excited to announce an opening for a Machining Technical Trainer at our esteemed Further Education College. This is a fantastic opportunity to transition into education and training, guiding the next generation of industry professionals.

Position: Machining Technical Trainer
Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time (4 days assessing apprentices, 1 day tutoring)
Location: Middlesbrough

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and support apprentices in their workplace to ensure they meet industry standards.
  • Deliver engaging and informative tutoring sessions to students, fostering a love for mechanical engineering and machining.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality training materials and assessments.
  • Monitor and track the progress of apprentices and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to ensure training remains relevant and up-to-date.

Requirements:

  • Industry Experience: Proven experience working in the mechanical engineering or machining industry.
  • Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 or HNC qualification in Mechanical/Machining Engineering.
  • Passion for Teaching: While no teaching qualification is necessary, a genuine passion for education and training is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students and apprentices.
