Machining Manager/Supervisor 

Location - Worcestershire

Job Description

  • Working closely with the department manager to ensure the safe, smooth & efficient running of a busy section within the machining department
  • Setting weekly plans & targets to ensure the team meet the required daily output.
  • Schedule work into your area of responsibility.
  • Capacity plan your area of responsibility accurately & effectively.
  • Report daily on any issues that inhibit the delivery of parts to internal customers.
  • Monitoring & controlling of budgets.
  • Responsibility for the control of Risk Assessments, staff training plans & SDQCP activities.
  • Ensuring the communication between our department & sections results in an effective & on time supply to the assembly areas.
  • Ensuring Health, Safety & Environmental rules & procedures are implemented, & information in the departments is always up to date & available for staff.
  • Promote a positive culture amongst staff by engaging them in H&S improvements & kaizen initiatives.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

Proven Manager/Leader, with deliverables in all key areas of SQDCP.

Be proficient in ERP systems & Microsoft applications.

Prior experience working within a supervisory or team leader role.
