Contract role - Mainframe Sysprog System Programmer - Remote/England - 12 months contract - Inside IR35

We are seeking Mainframe Sysprog System Programmer to supporting our client’s shared mainframe infrastructure.

  • Role: Mainframe Sysprog System Programmer
  • Location: England/Remote
  • Job type: Contract - Inside IR35
  • Duration: 12 months contract
  • You must be eligible for UK Govt Security Clearance
  • Mainframe Sysprog supporting and upgrading zOS and other software.
  • IODF skills are very desirable.
  • Experience working on shared infrastructure would really help.
  • Strong experience working on IBM z/OS and Mainframe platforms
  • Experience in the following: z/OS, IODF, ISPF, RACF, TCP/IP, VTAM, REXX
  • Proven ability to learn and acquire new skills
  • Ability to install, configure and upgrade IBM Mainframe software & Hardware
  • Experience installing and working with Mainframe ISV software
  • Good understanding of Mainframe modernisation and modern tooling
  • You’re good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. However, equally as important - you have a growth mindset; keen to drive your own personal and professional development. You are customer-focused - someone who prioritizes customer success in their work. And finally, you’re open and borderless - naturally inclusive in how you work with others.
