Maintenance Caretaker Assistant, permanent career opportunity for someone who can evidence previous employment in a maintenance or site facilities position. Based in Wiltshire, this vacancy is available on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday working from 05.00am until 1.00pm, offering a salary up to £29,500 and a range of attractive employee benefits.
You will be responsible for general site maintenance work conducting building inspection duties to ensure that internal/external facilities remain safe and in good order. This will also include responsibility for all site security, including maintenance of the site security access, door locking systems, windows and fire access points. checking on site lighting, site electricals, heating, water facilities, to include sink and toilet repairs.
As Maintenance Caretaker Assistant you will need to undertake planned preventative maintenance tasks working to strict Health and Safety procedures, able to react to emergency repairs and situations, reporting any site and building defects to the senior management team, obtaining repair quotes where necessary with a good understanding of most building materials and products. You will need to conduct hazard checks, ensuring that any associated risks are reporting using the correct channels.
Responsible for assisting with portering duties, undertaking redecoration works to include painting, furniture repair, building new furniture, handling site deliveries and escorting contractors and visitors to site. Ideally seeking a candidate who can demonstrate education/training and certification in First Aid, COSHH Trained, relevant Trades such as Plumbing, Electrical and Building (BTEC Level or similar).
Due to the nature of the organisation, there is a need to comply with an enhanced DBS check, sharing 5 years’ worth of employment references, combined with a strong work ethic, a professional and approachable manner and able to communicate well at all levels.
