Maintenance Engineer

Full Time – Monday-Friday - 8am-5pm

£30,000 - £35,00 DOE rising to up to £40,000 per annum

25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

Kerry Collins are excited to be working with an Industrial specialist in the manufacturing and Steel Industry.

We are seeking a Skilled Maintenance Electrician who is methodical, technically minded and able to be responsible for the efficient functioning and maintenance of our clients’ facilities and equipment.

You will undertake the role initially shadowing the current Maintenance Engineer who is preparing for Retirement and will in the coming months take over the role in full where the salary will then increase.

As the Maintenance Electrician you will:

  • Be responsible for safe and efficient operation of equipment and systems to a high standard.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, cleaning, and repairing equipment to reduce downtime.
  • Organise maintenance on equipment between production requirements.
  • Work at heights.
  • Fault diagnosis and repair, interpreting electric diagrams and machine faults.
  • Repair and service equipment.
  • Reduce manufacturing cost through improved design and consultation with suppliers and purchasing.
  • Have excellent customer service skills to interact with various departments and external contractors
  • Have the ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Be familiarity with logic controllers and other automated systems
  • Be proficient in welding techniques for equipment repair
  • Have excellent leadership skills to effectively supervise maintenance staff
  • Have extensive Knowledge of electrical systems

Role Essentials:

  • City and Guilds 2/3
  • Electrical installations 17th/18th edition.
