Maintenance Engineer

A leading manufacturer of products for the electrical installation market is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their manufacturing facility.

Ideally suited for an electrician seeking a new challenge, this role offers an entrance to Engineering.

You will benefit from full training and eventually be responsible for the maintenance and repair of manufacturing facilities, associated infrastructure and manufacturing equipment, ensuring production continues to run efficiently with minimum disruption.

As an Electrician (/Electrical Engineer), your duties will include-

• Maintaining all plant machinery to ensure safe, continual and efficient operations
• Ensuring that periodic and preventive maintenance are appropriately scheduled and accomplished
• Prioritising responsibilities to ensure breakdowns and repairs are conducted efficiently and cost effectively
• Troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues
• Work closely with manufacturers, suppliers and internal departments in finding ways to improve process and increase machine reliability and performance

To be successful in the role of Electrician (/Electrical Engineer), the ideal candidate will -

• Be electrically qualified
• Have proficiency in electrical systems and wiring
• Have knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
• Be able to use hand tools and power tools effectively
• Have strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve electrical issues
• Be capable of working on own initiative and as part of a team, with effective time management skills

On offer -

• A salary of £30-35K depending on experience
• Working a weekly rotating shift pattern: 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm
• Support to further develop with company funded qualifications

Based in Worcestershire, this role is commutable from Worcester, Birmingham, Redditch, Bromsgrove and Evesham
