Vacancy: Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer

Location: Crediton, Devon

Salary: £37,000pa+ DOE

JHP Recruitment are seeking a time-served and methodical Maintenance Engineer to provide a full engineering support service to all areas of our manufacturing client based in Crediton, Devon. The role will consist of working 06:00-15:00 Monday to Friday along side the production management team.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Full responsibility for the operational engineering effectiveness of production machinery and service machinery across the site
  • Diagnose and rectify any issues with manufacturing equipment and systems
  • Minimise factory downtime by effective application of planned and preventative maintenance tasks
  • Plan and carry out routine repairs to machinery and equipment
  • Ensure all manufacturer documentation and hard copies of machine records are kept up to date and available
  • Work in conjunction with the engineering team to decide how and when to make adjustments to machinery
  • Decide on any necessary modifications to machinery

Requirements:

  • Qualification at minimum HNC level in electrical, mechanical or manufacturing maintenance engineering or City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 Level 3 combined with a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Maintenance
  • Minimum of 3 years working as a Maintenance Engineer
  • Good understanding of manufacturing systems
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
