Adept are pleased to be working with a large reputable Oil & Gas manufacturer in Sheffield. They are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team to ensure that Plant & Equipment is maintained in accordance with Company and Statutory requirements.

Salary - £34,000 to £38,000

Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday - 6am to 2.30pm

**Duties and Responsibilities: **

  • Interpret equipment and plant layout drawings; mechanical and electrical.
  • Produce documentary evidence and carry out scheduled maintenance of plant and equipment in accordance with schedule and legislative requirements, ensuring that maintenance data records are accurately and promptly updated.
  • Respond to machine and plant equipment breakdowns, carry out necessary repairs, and report the cause of breakdown.
  • Provide evidence of plant and equipment breakdown occurrences coupled with documented improvement recommendations.
  • Maintain a systematic and methodical approach to work organization to ensure that our housekeeping standard is maintained in accordance with Company requirements, providing visible evidence of compliance.

**Requirements:**

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with minimum supervision.
  • Multi-skilled.
  • Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and other applications.
  • A good understanding and a proactive approach to Health, Safety & Environmental issues is essential.

**Qualifications:**

  • Electrical knowledge and a Mechanical bias.
  • Traditional apprenticeship coupled with appropriate technical qualifications; City & Guilds / ONC / HNC in Electrical/ Mechanical Maintenance preferred.
  • Machine tools and CNC controls experience.
  • A good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
