A well-known Coventry based food manufacturing company are looking to recruit a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer for their modern production facility. You will be part of a team of shift engineers providing engineering support to the production area and be responsible for reactive and proactive maintenance of plant, equipment, and auxiliary systems. Key responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer:

  • 4 on 4 off Shifts – Days and Nights (12 hour) 06.30 – 18:30 and 18.30 – 06.30 (blocks of 4)
  • Assist team to work towards maximum plant and equipment efficiency so downtime is minimised
  • Ensure planned engineering tasks are delivered on time and in full
  • Ensure good repair / manufacturing practices and procedures are followed
  • Ensure completion of planned maintenance documents / CMMS
  • Work closely with production staff to achieve daily targets
  • Contribute to cost reduction initiatives to drive efficiency and process improvements

Quals / Experience required of Maintenance Engineer:

  • Apprenticeship trained
  • Qualified maintenance engineer with C&G’s or NVQ Level 3 or ideally ONC / HNC level
  • Multi skilled, electrically biased with some mechanical skills / experience
  • Proactive attitude to solving issues and supporting production
  • Manufacturing / production experience required
