What you’ll be doing:

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving essential equipment to keep operations running smoothly.

  • Front-line maintenance: Performing reactive repairs and preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability.
  • Electrical fault finding: Using your experience with PLC systems and ability to interpret circuit drawings to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Working with a range of equipment: From large-scale machinery to site services, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Collaborating with production teams: Coordinating plant downtime, handovers, and process improvements.
  • Driving safety and quality: Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.

What we’re looking for:

  • Time-served apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering.
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering field.
  • Experience in heavy engineering or manufacturing (ideally within metals or similar industries).
  • Strong fault-finding skills with the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
  • Understanding of PLCs (basic fault-finding level).
  • Wiring Regulations (17th or 18th Edition preferred).
  • A positive, problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.
