Henderson Brown is delighted to be representing our client within the Food sector, seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This is a key hire for the business, in which you will be responsible for both solving breakdowns and preventative maintenance on their processing and packaging machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct preventative maintenance and perform timely repairs. * Support production and packing departments consistently. * Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping. * Follow HSE protocols, including Permit to Work and Risk Assessments. * Ensure safety by always adhering to lock-off procedures. * Respond quickly to breakdowns and take necessary actions. * Complete general maintenance tasks such as lubrication and schedule adherence. * Undertake small projects and modifications as required.
Requirements:
* A Level 3 equivalent qualification Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, such as an NVQ/HNC/ONC or City and Guilds etc * Previous experience within the food industry * Knowledge of 17th Edition I.E.E. regulations * PLC Fault finding skills, to I/O Level * A positive, proactive attitude * Ability to read, understand, and work with schematic drawings * Welding experience (MIG/TIG/ARC) * Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a plus
The shift pattern is a 2-week rotation of early and late shifts, with an occasional Saturday.
