Maintenance Person / Caretaker

We are recruiting for a maintenance person/caretaker for a temporary assignment in the Plymouth area.  Working Monday to Friday 1200 – 1800, you will be providing a varied service to schools in the city.  Starting in September this role is expected to last for 6 weeks initially.

Responsibilities as a maintenance person/caretaker will include the upkeep and general care of the buildings and grounds, regular compliance checks, general maintenance and repair working including doors, windows, toilet seats and flushes, tap washers, shelving, repainting of doors and walls and similar.

You should have good communication skills, a good knowledge of basic DIY, you should be able to work flexible, and able to work under own initiative.  You will also need to hold a full clean UK driving license as you will be travelling between different sites.

You will also need to hold a full enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to have the checks completed.

The pay rate is £13.00 per hour.

Whilst this is a temporary role, there is a permanent maintenance vacancy which you would be able to apply for.
