Job Title: Maintenance Operative

Location: Leigh-on-Sea

Hours: Monday-Thursday 08:00-16:30, Friday 08:00-15:30

Position Type: Temporary to Permanent

Salary: £11.44/hr (Weekly pay)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and comprehend work instructions, maintenance manuals, operating procedures, and customer specifications.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in understanding process paperwork and parts control.
  • Execute disassembly of aircraft wheel and brake parts in accordance with maintenance manuals.
  • Perform dismounting of aircraft tyres.
  • Utilize dedicated cleaning machines for the cleaning of aircraft wheels and brakes.
  • Clean aircraft wheel and brake structural and component parts meticulously.
  • Operate media blasters effectively for paint removal.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as per customer requirements.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous engineering experience preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic with a willingness to work diligently.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly and follow instructions.
  • GCSE Maths and English qualification (or equivalent).
  • Physical fitness and robust health due to the strenuous nature of the job.
  • Forklift truck license is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • No prior aviation experience required; comprehensive training will be provided.
