Temporary Maintenance Operative – East London

£16.50ph – 9am-4pm,  Weekly pay

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Temporary Maintenance Operative/Caretaker to work with our successful Student Accommodation in East London.

This exciting role will invite you to become part of the team and enable you to take great care of the grounds, property and the resident’s rooms.

Job duties can include:

  • Carrying out reactive maintenance tasks in occupied rooms with the focus being on quality workmanship and customer service.
  • Conducting or assisting with the maintenance of the building and building fabric, including repairs and redecoration.
  • Fixing toilets, sinks, furntiure, locks, descaling showers, changing lightbulbs
  • Ensuring that any issues of the properties or grounds are reported quickly and professionally.
  • Maintain exceptionally high levels of cleanliness and tidiness in and around the grounds, bin store or refuse area.
  • Conduct regular PPM checks
  • Take a proactive approach to ensure that the building is maintained to very high standards.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Maintenance / Caretaker / Handyman experience
  • Ability to carry out maintenance and building fabric works
  • Experience in working in fast paced environment
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate well with others
  • Reliable, hardworking, flexible
  • Awareness of Health and Safety Measures

This is a physically demanding position where you will be on the move throughout your day.
