Maintenance Technician

Our client, a leading manufacturer of plastic injection moulding machines are seeking 2 x Maintenance Technicians for full time, permanent positions. Ideal candidates will be based relatively centrally with access to North England, Midlands and South East. Candidates should be used to working on the road an flexible to make the occasional, mid-week over night stay.

Salary -£31,748.78 + Overtime paid at 1.35 x hourly rate weekdays, 1.5 x Saturdays and 2.0 x Sundays and Bank Holidays (+ day in lieu).

Excellent Benefits - Engineers will receive a company vehicle, laptop, iPhone, Tools etc. Benefits include contributory pension scheme (Company 8%, employee min 2%), death in service insurance, private health care. 25 holidays per year plus bank holidays (3 days must be reserved for Christmas shutdown).

JOB DESCRIPTION - MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Job Purpose: To visit customers to carry out preventative maintenance schedules and fulfil service contracts. Secondary tasks will be to work alongside the feild service team from time to time assisting with bigger installations and two-man work.

Person Profile: Personality: Personable and helpful with a focus on assisting customers and colleagues. Calm under pressure with an ability to show initiative and a solution seeking attitude to the role. Reliable, tolerant and professional.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preventative maintenance schedules

• Service contract fulfilment

• Inspection, callibration, safety checks, filter changes etc

• Assisting field service team

• Service administration tasks

• Safety and Quality activities

Specific Qualifications & Job Skills:

- An engineering qualification and training is required with a RECOGNISED ELECTICAL QUALIFICATION (Diploma and above)

- Must have a working knowledge and understanding of plastic injection moulding machines and automation.

- Candidates should be comfortable using notebooks and PC’s with knowledge of MS products.

- Good communication skills and flexibility are essential, with a will to find answers through methodical means and attention to detail.
