Our client is a friendly business based in the picturesque area of Oakham and they are looking for a Management Accountant to join them on a permanent basis to look after the day to day accounting for the UK business.

Looking after one staff member, your role will be varied and duties will include

  • Production of monthly management accounts and commentary
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Monthly flash reporting
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Journals
  • Month end reconciliations including control accounts
  • Inventory tracking and management
  • Overseeing accounts payable and credit control and assisting when necessary
  • Ad hoc projects

This role will suit someone who has proven experience in a similar role and ideally has exposure to managing at least one person.

Ideally at least AAT Level 3 qualified, experience of Sage is ideal but a strong understanding of Excel is essential as it will be used daily.

This role will be joining a small but very friendly team and will benefit from a handover with the current incumbent before they leave.

Whilst you will initially be required to work onsite whilst getting to grips with the role, once this has happened there will be an option to work from home one day a week.
