Accountancy Connect is seeking a part or qualified individual for a Group Management Accountant role with our client in Fareham.

As the Group Management Accountant, you will be responsible for managing, developing and the financial accounting operations, ensuring quality control, driving transformation and identifying efficiencies and the development of internal control policies procedures.

Working closely with the Group Financial Controller, the key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the revenue accounting, billing and cash collection and managing the performance of the outsourced finance activities.
  • Processing the Group month-end close including posting journals and preparation of management accounts (income statement & balance sheet).
  • Assisting in the statutory accounts & compliance with all local tax IFRS & UK GAAP requirements. Ensuring the group company and its subsidiaries meets country specific tax reporting deadlines.
  • The role will also have a key focus on the long-term financial planning and initiatives of the Group (M&A integrations, system implementations etc).

Required skills and experience for the Group Management Accountant role:

  • Qualified or actively studying ACA, CIMA or ACCA.
  • Existing management or financial accounting experience with a strong understanding of financial reporting. Candidates currently working in audit will also be considered and encouraged to apply.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfortable working with ERP systems.
