Management Accountant

Reed Accountancy are thrilled to be working with a growing organisation who are seeking a driven individual to join their finance team as a Management Accountant. The role will offer hybrid working with 1 day to work from home initially which after probation will be reviewed and likely increased. The salary on offer is in the region of £40,000 - £45,000, with 25 days annual + bank holidays.

Job responsibilities:

• Production of the month end management accounts for 3 reporting divisions, including variance analysis.

• Weekly cashflow forecasting 

• Balance sheet reconciliation 

• Posting of journals (accruals prepayments, accrued income etc)

• Expenses review and processing

• Completion of VAT returns

• Stock journal postings, month end reconciliations, support and oversee periodic stock takes

• Support the completion of finance related projects and process improvements

• Produce reports and data analysis as required by the business

• Contribute to annual budgeting and planning process

• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations

• Work closely with the Finance Manager on the year end statutory accounts, audit and tax queries

• Review accounting processes and practices to improve the efficiency of the finance function

• Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth

Person specification

- Keen to study towards ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualifications (desirable) 

- Strong communication skills

- Ability to multitask

- Great team player
