Management Accountant

Overview

Our market dominant retail client of which we have supported for a number of years, has smashed growth targets year on year leading to the opening of a record number of stores this year. The prolific success of the franchising division has led to a new role being created for a Management Accountant to join this dedicated team, amongst a larger, supportive finance function.

The successful candidate for this role will be a numbers driven Assistant Management Accountant looking to take the step up and use their buoyant personality to drive inter-team communications and liaise with a multitude of encouraging stakeholders. From a technical perspective, you will be preparing accruals and prepayments, and completing a high volume of comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations, and assisting with some forecasting.

Skills Needed

• You will need prior experience of reconciling balance sheets, and posting journals.
• Ideally, you will have had exposure in a retail environment, however although this is desired it is not necessary.
• Be a confident individual, with an open and calm communication style that finds it easy to build up rapport with stakeholders and create relationships.
• Be a part qualified individual with a few exams under your belt, looking to qualify in years to come.
