Management Accountant

• Annual Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
• Location: Southend (with weekly travel to London office)
• Job Type: Full-time

Reed Finance have partnered with our client who are seeking a Management Accountant to join their finance team. Ideally they are looking for a fully qualified ACA, CIMA, or ACCA finance professional, with experience either in a commercial setting or with a firm of chartered accountants.

Management Accounting

• Liaising with sales, sourcing, and operations teams to prepare sales & margin reports and sales forecasts.
• Maintaining accurate costing sheets for products.
• Preparing a weekly purchase order log.
• Reviewing periodical stock reports and monitoring the optimum and efficient use of stocks and warehouses.

Financial Accounting

• Assisting the Financial Controller with the preparation of monthly/quarterly accounts and ensuring compliance with bank and brand owners.
• Conducting variance analysis of operating expenses and taking corrective action in liaison with functional managers.
• Preparing weekly/quarterly cash flow statements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Fully qualified ACA, CIMA, or ACCA.
• 3-5 years of experience in management/financial accounting.
• Proficiency in SAGE 200 or an equivalent accounting package.
• Experience with an ERP System and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with non-financial managers.
