Management Accountant
We have an exciting role for a Temporary Management Accountant at a prestigious school based in Harrow. The Management Accountant role will report to the Finance Director and will work alongside our current Management Accountant to provide additional support to the Finance Team. It is a varied role and will suit a well-qualified, enthusiastic and adaptable team player. This is a 9-month fixed term contract, fully office based 9.00 - 5.00 and the main duties of the role are:
- Ensure accurate annual and monthly recording and reporting of transactions, including posting of relevant journals, including prepayments and accruals.
- Produce and update balance sheet reconciliations.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
- Support with the audit process and prepare all necessary working papers and audit file.
- Assist with the preparation and posting of the monthly payroll and provide support, as necessary.
- Produce salary analyses and benchmarking as required, including HR snapshots and KPIs.
- Monitor FTEs and headcount reporting.
- Support with the purchase ordering system, ensuring that appropriate processes are followed and authorisations are obtained.
- Assist with the general day-to-day tasks of the finance function where required, including but not limited to, processing payments, reconciling debtors and creditors and outstanding debtor reviews
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified or partly qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA candidate
- Experience of accounts preparation
- Experience of VAT and corporation tax
- School experience desirable
- Strong reconciliation skills with exceptionally good attention to detail
- SAGE 200, Power BI, Excellent Excel Skills
- Previous payroll experience
