Management Accountant

Are you an experienced Management Accountant looking for a new role within a friendly and easy going team? 

Reed are delighted to be supporting an established manufacturing organisation in their search for a Management Accountant. Working as part of a small team, the Management Accountant will directly support senior leadership and be responsible for the full preparation of month and year end accounting including the supervising of the transactional team. 

Job Duties include: 

• Management of all general ledger balances and reconciliations.
• Preparing monthly management accounts and other financial reports such as sales and margin analysis reports. 
• Presenting reports to senior management to aid with business decision making. 
• Advising on the financial implications of business decisions. 
• Support the Financial Controller with regular budgets, forecasts and cashflow models.
• Supervising of the transactional team members 
• Various other generic accountancy tasks such as expenses management, bank reconciliations, fixed asset verification and other group finance requests.  
• Manage and supervise the financial aspects of regular stock-takes.
• Ensure standard costing and job costing methodologies are monitored, reviewed, and calculated correctly. 

Person Specification

• Qualified, Part qualified or Qualified by experience accountant 
• Experienced within the manufacturing industry sector 
• Costings experience 
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge.
• Strong communicator
