Management Accountant

Overview

Our leisure client, a prominent figure in the sporting world and history rich employer is currently on the look out for the next pair of hands to join their dedicated team. Joining a smaller facet of their finance team, the finalist we are looking for will be running the retail operations for the business, focused on building relationships throughout the organisation in order to prepare accurate month end packs for a variety of internal stakeholders. The business is alike no other, pairing rapid growth and astounding offices, allowing the successful candidate to become a real subject matter expert as they qualify in this niche company.

Day to day in the role, the successful candidate will be spread across producing the management pack, delving deep into the data to provide senior management with accurate analysis and business partnering to give expert insights into the figures provided. You will be tasked with budgeting and forecasting, analysing cash flows and liaising with departments separate to finance to educate teams on their operational and strategic requirements, reporting into the FC.

Skills needed

• You will currently be studying and towards the final stages of your ACCA/CIMA qualification, looking to qualify as soon as possible.
• Be a technically sound management accountant, able to produce month end packs unsupervised.
• Ideally, you will have had prior exposure in a retail or wholesale environment, or have an understanding of stock. (Although preferred this is not a requirement).
• Have had exposure to working with a wide range of stakeholders, and feel confident engaging teams throughout the business on financial matters.
