Robertson Bell are excited to partner with this pivotal public sector organisation as they go to market for a Management Accountant position on a permanent basis. Do not miss the opportunity to receive guidance, training, and study support as you play a key part of their finance team and lead a team of two Assistant Management Accountants.

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare comprehensive management reports utilizing Excel, ensuring accurate data presentation. Conduct detailed financial data analysis to provide actionable insights, supporting strategic decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with Auditors to ensure accurate and compliant year-end financial reporting, addressing queries and preparing detailed statements promptly.
  • Work closely with Finance Business Partners, gather data for forecasting, and report financial movements to the Head of Finance.
  • Oversee two part-qualified management accountants, ensuring quality work, fostering a collaborative environment, and supporting their development.
  • Analyse payroll and estate costs, address queries from the wider business and audits, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Based near Liverpool, the successful candidate will benefit from a hybrid working pattern, requiring you to go into the office twice a week. The successful candidate will:

  • Be actively studying towards an ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA accounting qualification.
  • Have a background working in a finance role where you have produced reports and analysis of financial information.
  • Be a proficient excel user and be confident manipulating data on a spreadsheet and creating formulas.
  • Have an enthusiastic work ethic and be actively seeking a role that offers development and training.
