Position Overview

Based in Wigan, the Management Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, performing account reconciliations, preparing financial reports, assisting with audit preparations, and carrying out other accounting duties as assigned for the UK and Netherlands entities. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices in a multicurrency environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for UK and Netherlands entities.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
  • Assist with the preparation of US GAAP and statutory reporting.
  • Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
  • Assist with the preparation of all types of tax returns and ensure timely filing.

Requirements

  • Part qualified or fully qualified will be considered (ACA, ACCA, OR CIMA)
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in a similar role for a multinational company.
  • Experience with a multicurrency environment.
  • Proficiency with technology and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with Oracle and Onestream is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across the organisation.
