JAG Talent is partnered with a luxury retailer to hire a management accountant into their team on an interim basis for an initial 3 months. The ideal candidate will be finalist level or qualified with 3+ years experience in a financial or management accounting role using SAP. Preferably you will have worked in a retail or stock based environment. Responsibilities:
Preparation of monthly management accounts.
Ensure key reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis
Ensure all month end journals and processes under remit are accurately calculated and posted within the agreed timetable, ultimately ensuring accuracy of the books
Investigate all material variances, proactively highlighting the impact these have on the business.
Business partner with assigned department heads, maintaining central control and management of department spend, reporting variances to agreed budget.
Accruals posting - posting accruals in relation to finance and IT spend.
Preparation of indirect cash flow
Bank Postings ensuring any reconciling items are cleared ASAP
Download stock reports from SAP on a weekly basis for circulation to the business.
Assist Finance Controller to oversee the stock count process in partnership with Retail and Logistics, calculating and reporting stock losses.
Review and reporting of stock balances, write offs and provisions on a monthly basis.
Ensure overall integrity of the cost value for stock lines and cost prices used in margin calculations.
Work with merchandising to ensure seasonal stock is correctly moved through life cycle and provided for appropriately
Prepare monthly pack for the board on stock.
