Reed Accountancy is working with a globally known and respected organisation, in their search for a German speaking Management Accountant to join the team. The main scope of the role is to assist the Head of Accounting and to maintain monthly management accounts including P&L and balance sheet, for the German entity.
This company are one of the best to work for in Glasgow, offering a hybrid working model with only 3 days per week in the office. Responsibilities for this role include:
- Preparation of month end profit and loss
- Preparing reporting and review packs
- Posting journals
- Ensuring the general ledger reconciles to the monthly management accounts
- Performing regular balance sheet reconciliations and investigating reconciling items, explaining any variances
- Assisting in the annual audit
- Ad hoc duties as required
The role will suit someone who:
- Is fluent in German
- Is part-qualified and working toward full qualification (for which support will be provided)
- Possesses experience in a similar role involving management account preparation, balance sheet and ledger reconciliations, and reporting
- Has knowledge of multi-national companies
- Is a confident communicator, comfortable liaising with stakeholders across the business, and overseas
- Is able to work independently to meet deadlines and KPIs
