Title: Management Accountant (Shipping)

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + study support + generous bonus & wider benefits

Location: central London, hybrid (1-day WFH per week)

Our client, a multinational Shipping group headquartered in London with operations across the globe, are currently seeking a technically adept part-qualified Accountant to join their finance team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate accounting for assigned vessels.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly analytical review for assigned vessels.
• Play an integral role in the monthly close process and ensure timelines are met.
• Work closely with the Cost control team to ensure that capital expenditure, operating costs, other project related costs of vessels and new builds are properly accounted for.
• Support the Accounts Payable function with the purchase to pay process including posting relevant journals and preparing monthly bank reconciliations.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate reporting.
• Assist on ad hoc duties such as the annual audit, VAT returns etc.

Requirements:

• At least 3-5 years relevant work experience preferably in the shipping industry.
• Minimum part qualified accountant or equivalent.
• Good understanding accounting processes.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (specifically Excel and PowerPoint).
