Job Title: Manager - Accounting Operations - Reinsurance

Base Location: London would be your base location, as long as you can travel to the office 2 days a week you can be based anywhere in the UK.

I am working with a global Insurer & Reinsurer who is looking to bring on an experienced Finance Manager/Senior Financial Accountant to join its successful and growing Reinsurance Accounting operations team reporting directly to the Head of Outwards Reinsurance - Accounting Operations.

As a manager in this team, you will have the opportunity to have full ownership of the end-to-end Finance processes, more specifically working on: Calculations, processing, analysis and Reporting. You will also be looking over a team of 2 Accountants with the potential for look over more as the team grows out.

You will be joining the team at a very exciting time, as they are looking to merge the Accounting Operations teams together allowing for interesting opportunities of growth & progression.

What will you be ?

• The Main day to day responsibilities to this role are as follows:
  • BAU Accounting
  • Performance Analysis/Reviews/Sign offs
  • Reporting to Group
  • Stakeholder relationship management
  • Team management - over 2 junior staff
  • Reserving analysis
  • Regulatory reporting
  • Finance programme and business readiness

What will you need to do it?

• You will need to have hands on accounting experience from within the Reinsurance sector.
• You would need to be a qualified accountant with several years of post-qualified work experience.
• We are looking for someone with extensive financial and management reporting experience.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to use: Pivot Tables, Vlookup's and Sumifs.

Skills we'd love to see:

• The team is looking to move onto the FR-SI system, so experience with this would be advantageous.
