Job Purpose:

Lead integration of body mechanisms and indirect vision systems across platforms

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Day to Day Project Management of commodities through all development phases into Design releasing and validation
  • Align cross functional targets, constraints and hardpoints at programme start and set DVP for system sign off.
  • Lead integration between AML functions and Suppliers
  • Support negotiations and maintain cost deck.
  • Benchmarking competitor vehicles and technology selection based on features, materials, and manufacturing techniques

Qualification & Experience:

  • Demonstrable expertise in indirect vision systems and body mechanisms
  • Intrinsic knowledge of Product Creation Processes
  • Ability to lead and mentor less experienced team members.
  • In depth knowledge of relevant emerging technologies and global legal system level requirements
  • Suitable and related to role from within the Automotive industry
  • Component and system DFMEA creation and updating
  • Understanding of AML processes
  • Int/ext. handles, locks, latches, aero mechs, regulators, blinds, int/ext. mirrors & CMS, towbar systems
  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • Management training
  • Practical problem-solving methodology

Behaviours:

  • Comfortable working to deadlines and holding others to account
  • Able to influence others – even when direct reporting lines are not present
  • Competent in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
