Job Title: Managerial Collections Agent

Location: North London (Golders Green)

Type of work: Hybrid, once probation period competed. (3 days in the office, 2 days remote)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Collections Agent with a consumer credit background, to join a dynamic team in London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collections within a regulated environment, preferably in the asset finance industry. This individual will play a pivotal role in managing delinquent accounts, implementing effective collection strategies, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collections Management: Utilise advanced collections techniques to efficiently manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts.

- Asset Finance Expertise: Ideally you would come from a background of Asset Finance, you would leverage comprehensive knowledge picked up over your years working in this area.

- Timely execution of formal arrears notices.

- Negotiation & Resolution: Engage with customers to negotiate repayment arrangements, resolve disputes, and address any inquiries or concerns.

- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare detailed reports on collection activities, trends, and performance metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including underwriting, risk management, finance and sales to mitigate credit risk and enhance collection strategies.

- Customer Service Excellence: Provide exceptional service to customers, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to fostering positive relationships.

Experience:

- You must have a minimum of 3 year’s experience in collections, with a proven track record of success in a regulated environment.

- Previous experience in the asset finance industry strongly preferred.

- Comprehensive understanding of CONC and relevant regulations and compliance requirements, specifically within the UK financial services sector.

- Excellent negotiation, communication, administration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers and internal stakeholders.

- Strong analytical capabilities, with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.

- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving, decision-making and taking responsibility for specific tasks.

Package:

£65k - £75k per annum with bonus scheme plus up to 7.5% annualised bonus
