As the Managing Editor/Digital Publisher, you will spearhead our clients editorial transition to a digital output, driving the strategic direction and production of content that resonates with our audience in both print and digital formats. You will lead a talented team of writers, editors, and designers to create captivating and innovative content that thrives in the digital landscape. You will be working with Household name brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive editorial strategy that aligns with the magazine's digital transformation objectives.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of engaging and shareable content across digital platforms, including website, social media, and email newsletters.
  • Oversee the editorial calendar for all products and digital editions, ensuring timely delivery of content and alignment with publishing schedules.
  • Collaborate closely with writers, photographers, and video producers to produce multimedia content optimized for digital consumption.
  • Implement SEO best practices to increase online visibility and drive audience growth.
  • Analyse performance metrics and audience insights to refine content strategies and enhance user engagement.
  • Manage the editorial budget effectively to maximize resources and support the production of high-quality content.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages experimentation and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a managing editor or similar within the publishing industry, with a focus on digital content strategy and production is essential
  • Experience of running budgets on editorial/digital products
  • Strong understanding of digital publishing tools, content management systems, and analytics platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for storytelling and audience engagement.
  • Leadership abilities to inspire and mentor a diverse team of creative professionals.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing trends and technologies in the digital media landscape.
  • Proficiency in SEO, social media marketing, and content distribution strategies.
  • Passion for consumer lifestyle topics and an understanding of audience preferences across different digital platforms.
