We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our clients dynamic team. As the Managing Quantity Surveyor you will be part of their Commercial Team who are responsible for the end to end commercial processes and requirements of the contract. Our client delivers a range of essential infrastructure services to the water, transport, telecommunication and energy sectors in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
* Collate, analyze, and challenge Cost/Value Reports and forecasts
* Implement required actions based on reports and forecasts
* Design and implement a commercial strategy for the portfolio and tenders with assistance from the functional manager
* Ensure timely and professional contract administration by Commercial Practitioners
* Identify, mitigate, and manage risks and opportunities within the portfolio
* Foster a culture of contractual and commercial awareness on all projects

Duties:
* Review contractual obligations and commercial risks before tender submission
* Maximize cash position, including WIP control, cash flow production, and improvement plans for all projects
* Identify and advise on insurance-related issues, including PI
* Ensure a margin improvement plan exists for each project
* Assist in work-winning duties, including proactive release of team members and attendance at client presentations for tender interviews

Experience:
The successful candidate will have a history of ensuring optimal performance of their commercial team for their portfolio of work, conducting constant reviews for margin gains in efficiency and providing timely resource forecasting.
