Job Purpose

To work within and support the MPBU Machine Shop with aircraft component overhaul and salvage.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Undertake machining tasks to support the overhaul of aircraft components including Precision Grinding, Honing, Boring, Milling, Turning, CNC Turning, Bush/Bearing Fitting.
  • Assist, as required with the monitoring of stock levels for bonded metal and consumables.
  • Support the implementation of improvement initiatives within the MPBU Machine Shop.
  • Ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Support and promote a culture of Continuous Improvement and housekeeping.
  • Support with the maintenance of plant and equipment.

Experience, Qualifications and Competencies

  • Numerate and literate - minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
