Manual Operator Grinding

We are seeking a skilled Manual Grinder with a keen eye for detail and a strong technical background. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating manual grinding machines, ensuring client orders are completed efficiently and to a high standard. An engineering qualification is desirable, along with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

• Setting up client jobs on grinding machines and conducting pre-operation tests.
• Manual operation of grinding machines, including adjustments to maintain tolerance levels.
• Performing general machine maintenance and keeping the work area clean and tidy.
• Adhering to strict health and safety regulations within the workplace.
• Completing necessary paperwork and recording data on production and quality logs.
• Operating CNC lathe as required.
• Undertaking any other duties as necessary within the scope of the role.

• An engineering qualification is desirable.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in setting and operating manual grinders.
• Proficiency in using measuring equipment such as verniers and micrometers.
• Experience with CNC lathes is beneficial.
• Experience in the aerospace industry is an advantage.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical documents and specifications.
• Competent computer skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions.
• Capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Mechanically and technically minded.
• Self-motivated with a ‘can-do’ attitude.

• Manual lifting and periods of prolonged standing are required.
• Wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
