Manual Turner

Adept are delighted to be working with a well-established Manufacturer working across several key sectors in Sheffield. Due to expansion and business needs they have a requirement for a Manual Turner at their machine shop in Sheffield.

As part of a busy and growing manufacturing environment, your role will entail operating manual machines with tailor-made work.

You'll report to the Team Leader and handle these responsibilities on a day-to-day basis.

£DOE - £14ph - £16ph

Responsibilities:

• 3 jaw and 5 jaw chucks
• Configuring machines to match engineering drawing specifications
• Maintaining high-quality standards for produced parts
• Ensuring production targets are met
• Implementing 5S principles
• Documenting and communicating any problems or concerns
• Cutting tool techniques

Experience:

• Experience of working on a Manual Turner; on either horizontal or vertical machines
• Understanding of engineering drawings
• Working to tight tolerances
• Ensure that all duties are carried out meeting health and safety guidelines
